Coach Brendel has played over 10 years of volleyball, from
grade school through college. He was on the high school
volleyball team for four years: one year at the JV level and for
three years on varsity level. He was a veratile player who
started as a Setter, Libero, and Outside Hitter.
Coach Brendel has also played for the club teams, KaBoom and
Powerhouse. With these teams, he played AAU and various national
tournaments where he became a more rounded player at different
positions. He also played at the collegate level, with one year
experience on the Northern Illinois University Club Team, as a
Libero.
Coach Brendel is a graduate of Northern Illinois University,
where he received his degree in Psychology. Coach Brendel has
coached for Kane County Juniors 12s women’s division, where he
developed skill sets to instill the foundations for elite
volleyball players. He continues to be a student of the game,
whether it be through playing beach volleyball or learning from
other coaches. He strives to have a winning program and develop
players into the best they can be.
