Coach Kieca has been playing volleyball since the day he could walk — it was a family requirement.
Coach Kieca attended St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights. As a Team
Captain in his senior year, he was named to the All-Conference team as he led
his team to its first Conference Championship as well as winning its first Regional title.
He currently is attending Western Illinois University, where he previously completed
his Bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration and
is now working on his Master’s in the same field. Coach Kieca just finished
his 6th and final year playing for the club team at WIU as a libero. He was the
club president for 2 years and acted as the player/coach for the past 4 years. Throughout
Coach Kieca’s career at Western, his team has had four top 10 finishes at nationals
and a conference championship, and he was named the All-Conference libero is Junior year. As the president and player/coach
he ran the team’s practices, scheduled tournaments, and ran the team’s home tournament.
Coach Kieca has also been playing grass tournament for the past 5 years,
and is now competing at the A/AA level at such tournaments like Waupaca and the Luau.
